My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
Our children aren’t just raised by their parents. They are raised by the parents of every person they befriend. The life lessons and experiences they share intermix so that their whole being is the result of childhood experiences and the lessons learned from other children. All children are our children and we should remember that as we focus on our own.
We are all God’s children.
