Crosby, Stills & Nash formed in the late sixties, each member a byproduct of another prominent band. David Crosby/Birds, Stephen Stills/Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash/The Hollies. Their unique vocal chemistry propelled them to success and a couple of hit singles on their debut LP. Neil Young joined the band during their initial tour. Their Folk-Rock music is closely identified with the protest movement of the 60’s and 70’s. Iconic tracks, mainly Woodstock and Ohio, are as big a part of the events of the day as the events of the day. Perfect harmony is the best way to describe this group musically, but personal relationships were often tumultuous. Despite the often stormy bickering, the band has retained it’s reputaion as iconic counterculture supergroup.
