“The true meaning of life
is to plant trees, under whose
shade you do not expect to sit.”
~ Nelson Henderson
We lost a tree today. I’m always a little saddened when a tree dies. I’ve cut down trees before, but always replaced them immediately. This particular tree is one I planted myself and it was just reaching over the house. It was a beautiful willow that my landscaper hated (his mower’s wheels would get caught in the hanging branches). I’ll have it cut down and plant a new one, and probably never enjoy its shade.
This video is set to “Your Hand in Mine” and may make you cry.
