Every great work from humanity is derived from passion. Love, hate, anger, yearning, loss, and many other emotions invoke intense feelings that allow us to create. Youth is a hotbed of passion which is why people equate intense passion with ” made me feel young again” states of mind. Perhaps aging mutes and tamps down those emotions. Most artists stop creating good art when they’ve reached comfort and peace in their lives. Musicians rarely release new music after becoming wealthy and famous. Hemingway and Van Gogh killed themselves after producing an amazing amount of great works. Perhaps they had nothing left.
Questioning life is the essence of youth. Hence, the essence of passion. In my youth questions abounded. I questioned everything, my beliefs, my life, and my future.
The following tracks are about the questions all of us have had or do have. I believe once we stop ruminating over these things we are dead inside.
