So Close To Life was Moonlit Sailor’s second LP, released in 2009. It received from rave reviews from many instrumental rock blogs, most of which called it “perfect.” This is a beautiful Post-Rock record that does reach and achieve greatness. The album is filled with majestic escapism and sonic journeys, resulting in a deeply devout soul searching experience.
Moonlit Sailor’s “Colors In Stereo” was released in 2011 to some good reviews. The music is smart and wonderfully played. I was impressed with the prominence of percussion in almost all of the tracks. However, the drums never get in the way of some really beautiful melodies. In fact, the transitions from soulful strings to explosive all-out jams segue smoothly. Well choreographed and expertly produced, the sound of this LP is warmly welcomed and extremely easy to listen to.
“Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.”
